Yep, I have done it again. We call them cowboy baths at grandma's house! The days were too hot for outdoor play during the boy's four days with us. It was dusk, Papa was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner and I was just too plain tired to do the whole bedtime bath routine.
It was still 105 degrees outside and the sun was setting when I grabbed some plastic tubs, towels, the bottle of tear free body wash, the toy boats, and my camera so that I could send some pics to their parents and big brother who were in California.
I first drenched myself with the hose to help keep me cool. I filled all of the tubs with luke warm water. That's just how it comes out here in the deserts of Arizona. I washed heads and scrubbed their bodies squeaky clean. I then plopped down in my chair next to them to rest my tired achey feet. I welcomed the splashes as they played.
I enjoyed a beautiful Arizona sunset and rested my tired feet all while listening to the squeals of playful delight from my little cowboys.
What a great idea and I can see they loved it!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun -- very hot but very fun! What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteVery creative solution! It's very hot in Texas, too, and water balloons and the like are popular with my grands.
