Boy oh Boy am I anxious to share the details on the Ho...Ho...Ho...liday Family Christmas Vacation I had with my grands and my grown children. There is a lot of fun things to share but also some not so good news to share too. No time now but in short we had an emergency five day hospital stay, a surgery, and I was on the front lines caring for a little one with stomach flu that I was unable to outrun! It caught up with me on Christmas Day!
I have perked up a bit today and tomorrow my oldest daughter and her husband are heading out on their adventure as a Ma and Pa for a group of 10-12 youth on a handcart trek dressed as, and limited to the goods that the early pioneers would have had. The local weather forecast is calling for heavy rain and the coldest winter storm in years to hit our area during the time frame they are going to be out in the elements! Nothing like getting right down to the grit of what it was really like to be a pioneer.
I will be watching their three boys until they return on New Years Day.
Just know..... that all is well for now and that I am going to have three very good reasons to delay my Christmas Vacation tales for a few more days.
Have a safe and Happy New Year!
Shelley
