Very cute and very simple to create. You begin with a paper lunch sack. You first make the antlers out of brown pipe cleaners. Each set of antlers takes three pipe cleaners. Cut one pipe cleaner in half for each antler. Then cut the remaining two in thirds to create the antlers. Tape the antlers in place on the front of the sack. Cut out a face using brown construction paper. Glue the face in place over the pipe cleaner antlers. Cut ears, and glue in place. Glue on googly eyes and a red pom pom nose. Cut out a few spots out of lighter construction paper and glue to body.
I had pre-cut the faces, ears, and pipe cleaners. I had made up a kit for each child with their eyes, nose, and a piece of the lighter paper to cut out the spots for the body themselves.
It is also helpful to already have the children's names written on the back of the bags before you start.
Needed: Paper sacks, construction paper, pipe cleaners, eyes, pom pom nose, kid safe scissors, glue sticks, and tape.
Following up with a puppet show is a must!
